Glenview, IL (September 15, 2016) - Danish hi-fi loudspeaker specialist Dynaudio is unveiling an innovative new range of high performance custom-install loudspeakers at the 2016 CEDIA Expo in Dallas, Texas: the Dynaudio Studio Series.
Dynaudio Custom utilizes the same core technologies and research that have made the company’s hi-fi speakers so successful over the past 39 years, now developed into unique tool-less, clip-in loudspeaker modules which simply and quickly mount into ingenious pre-installation mounting frames.
The Dynaudio Studio range will consist of in-ceiling and in-wall architectural loudspeakers available in both 6.5 inch and 8 inch versions, all featuring a soft-dome tweeter with powerful neodymium magnets, mated to woofers utilizing Dynaudio’s proprietary MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) cones and aerodynamically formed cast aluminum baskets housing centered magnet systems. The in-ceiling models are angled 18 degrees and can be rotated a full 360 degrees in their mounts to fine-tune their sound directivity to the listening area. They fit into their mounts without damaging the ceiling surface, and their paintable square or round magnetic grilles ensure that they’ll discretely blend in with the room. The in-wall models’ frames can be mounted either way up for further installation flexibility. Dynaudio’s patent-pending, tool-less speaker-mounting mechanism is featured in all models.
Users with multichannel home-theater systems can use the Studio ceiling speakers in the walls, too, to ensure absolute tonal consistency. The grilles are independent of their frames, thus their positions can be adjusted to perfectly satisfy the most strict requirements of any architect or interior designer.
Michael Munch, Product Manager says: “We designed the new Dynaudio Custom range to be as easy as possible to install, to be simple to understand and to be flexible enough to tailor to even the most challenging listening environment. And – of course – it had to sound as good as the rest of our speakers. We love bringing our passion for music to every pair of ears we can reach – no matter how big or small the space. Every Dynaudio Custom speaker is designed, tuned and built with the same care and pride as our regular hi-fi, in-car and pro-audio ranges, optimized for the application.”
Dynaudio has spent decades researching, refining and hand-building speakers at its headquarters in Skanderborg, Denmark. It has years of experience in extracting maximum performance in limited spaces and challenging conditions. Dynaudio Custom builds on the company’s vast experience in the automotive world and its partnership with Volkswagen as well as its excellence in professional audio, where Dynaudio monitors are used in major recording studios all over the world.
Dynaudio is also using CEDIA to show its new high-end Contour hi-fi speakers and its complete range of digital and wireless loudspeaker products.
The show will mark the US premiere for models in the new Contour series– a ground-up redesign of the phenomenally successful, multi-award-winning Dynaudio loudspeaker range. The new series is comprised of four elegant high-performance models: the compact Contour 20 ($5,000/pair), and the medium-sized, floor-standing Contour 30 ($7,500/pair), which will both be previewed at CEDIA, while the larger, floor-standing Contour 60 ($10,000/pair) and the Contour 25C center-channel ($3,500) are forthcoming this fall and will round out the new model range.
Dynaudio’s digital active products – including the new compact, wireless Xeo 2 (recently awarded the full five stars by the UK’s What Hi-Fi? magazine) and the high-end, hi-res-compatible wireless Focus XD – will also be on display in the Dynaudio exhibit at CEDIA.
