(Spiceland, Ind.) – Draper is pleased to introduce our new Lightbloc Zip product. The Lightbloc Zip combines our standard Motorized Lightbloc FlexShade with the FlexShade Zip introduced last year by Draper. The LightBloc Zip is for interior applications, and it incorporates a room darkening fabric with headbox, and side and sill channels to provide a complete blackout system.
One unique thing about the Lightbloc Zip is that the side channels are only 1¾” wide (1” less than our standard Lightbloc product). The channels incorporate a “Zip” detail which is welded to the vertical sides of the fabric, and this feature prevents the fabric from coming out of the side channels.
The LightBloc Zip offers some real benefits compared to other blackout systems from Draper and its competitors. It's available in large sizes--through 12' x 12'. A broad range of opaque and room darkening materials can be used in the LightBloc Zip--this window covering can blend into the decor of any room, and is not limited to institutional vinyl materials. The shade fabric is locked into the side channels by the Zip feature--even wind and impacts won't separate the shade from its channels.
