TecVision Formulation Tackles Ambient Light

(Spiceland, Ind.) - April 24, 2017 – At CEDIA 2017, Draper will be exhibiting the company’s latest ambient light rejecting TecVision projection surface.

TecVision CS1200X ALR is a grey surface with excellent ambient light rejection properties. With an ALR rating of 20, TecVision CS1200X ALR rejects 80 percent of the ambient lighting not being produced by the projector. Ideal for environments with high ambient lighting and controlled viewing angles, CS1200X ALR has superior contrast with excellent black retention. The higher 1.2 gain will help brighten the image in sizes up to 67 feet wide. Just like the rest of Draper’s TecVision line, CS1200X ALR is 8K-ready and Imaging Science Foundation-certified for color accuracy, so users won’t notice the blue tints present in images on many other ambient light rejecting screens.

Perhaps the most impressive fact about the new surface, however, is its development. It was initially introduced at InfoComm 2017 as CH1200X ALR. However, research and development never stops in the Draper lab—not only do we have the ability to create new formulations, we can improve existing ones. The CH1200X ALR name represented a high-contrast surface. The CS1200X ALR designation means it’s a surface with superior contrast that meets or exceeds contrast offered by any competitive viewing surface.

In addition, the CS1200X ALR is available as a Nanoperf surface for acoustical transparency.

Experience the difference! See TecVision CS1200X ALR in booth #4229 at CEDIA 2017, September 7-9 in San Diego. More information can be found at draperinc.com/go/TecVision.htm.
